Privacy policy
- Updated 21 August 2026
This policy explains what happens to the information you give us through this website. It is written to describe what the site actually does, rather than to cover every eventuality in the abstract.
Who we are
Alpine UK Scaffolding Ltd, Brunel Road, Stevenage, Hertfordshire, SG2 0AD. You can reach us on 07736 250 242 or at info@alpine-scaffolding.co.uk. We are the data controller for the information described here.
What we collect, and when
We only collect what you type into one of the enquiry forms on this site — the quote form, the survey booking, the callback request, the question box on the FAQs page, or the chat assistant. Depending on the form, that is:
- your name
- your phone number and, on some forms, your email address
- your postcode or town
- the type of work and any details you choose to add
- when you would like to be called, or a preferred survey date
We do not ask for payment details anywhere on this site, and we never will by email. Nothing is collected from you simply by reading a page.
What we do with it
Enquiries are emailed to us so we can respond: call you back, arrange a survey and prepare a quote. That is the only thing your details are used for. We do not sell them, and we do not add you to a marketing list without asking you first.
Our lawful basis is legitimate interest — you have contacted a business asking it to quote for work, and we need your details to do that.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for as long as we may reasonably need them for the job and for our business records. If you would like your details deleted, email info@alpine-scaffolding.co.uk and we will remove them.
Who else sees it
Our email and website hosting providers process the message in the ordinary course of delivering it. We do not pass enquiries to anyone else.
Cookies and measurement
This site uses three measurement services, and each of them sets cookies in your browser:
- Google Tag Manager — the container that loads the other Google tags, and through which our website analytics are configured.
- Google Ads — so we can tell which adverts led to an enquiry.
- Hotjar — which records how pages are used, including mouse movement, scrolling and clicks, so we can see where the site is confusing. Hotjar does not record what you type into the enquiry form.
The chat assistant also uses your browser's session storage to remember that it has already prompted you once, so it does not repeat itself; that is cleared when you close the tab. Pages that show a map load a Google Maps embed, and Google may set cookies through it.
You can block or delete these cookies in your browser settings. Doing so does not stop you using the site or sending us an enquiry.
Your rights
You can ask to see what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@alpine-scaffolding.co.uk and we will deal with it. If you are not satisfied with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
